Chrysoberyl (クリソベリル, Kurisoberiru) is one of the Gems who worked at the School as an expert on The Lunarians. They eventually were taken to the Moon by Lunarians prior to the beginning of the story.
Appearance[]
Chrysoberyl has a honey-yellow color scheme and wears the summer or winter uniform depending on the season with black opera gloves. They have waist-length, straight hair parted to the left.
Personality[]
As revealed in the artbook, they were an honor student.
Story[]
They were taken by the Lunarians prior to the start, while partnered with Alexandrite. This caused Alexandrite to become obsessed with finding out more about the Lunarians.
It's presumed they were restored along with the other Gems in Chapter 95 and turned into a Lunarian but this has not been confirmed. A Gem resembling Chrysoberyl is visible, however their hair is parted the opposite way.
Gem info[]
- Mineral: oxide
- Chemistry: BeAl2O4
- Color: yellowish-green to translucent.
The mineral or gemstone chrysoberyl is an aluminate of beryllium. Despite the similarity of their names, chrysoberyl and beryl are two completely different gemstones, although they both contain beryllium. It is more related to spinel. Chrysoberyl is the third-hardest frequently encountered natural gemstone and lies at 8.5 on the hardness scale, between corundum (9) and topaz (8).
Ordinary chrysoberyl is yellowish-green and transparent to translucent. When the mineral exhibits good pale green to yellow color and is transparent, then it is used as a gemstone. The three main varieties of chrysoberyl are ordinary yellow-to-green chrysoberyl, cat's eye or cymophane, and alexandrite.
